DIPLOMA DEGREE

A Diploma degree is a course of academic study leading to a qualification such as a diploma of arts (Dip.Arts) or a diploma of science (Dip.Science). You can focus on a particular career from day one, or follow new and exciting options as you discover them. Some qualifications are specialised, with most of your first-year courses already set into a programme. Others allow much more flexibility, and even give you the chance to choose minors from other programmes. This means you can study diverse combinations of subjects and still complete your degree in three years.

Entry Requirements

To study for a Diploma degree, a number of criteria have to be met in order to get accepted for the program you wish to study.

You must have completed a High school degree or its equivalent. If your highschool degree is not English, it may have to be translated before hand. There are some specialisations that have language proficiency requirements such as English and must provide proof of capabilty. You may also need to provide identification for registration pusposes such as a national ID or a passport. A personal photo is also required.

Others may have location specific requirements depending on labaratory classes. While these are general, some have additional requirements, therefore, please check the details of your selected degree page to make sure you meet these.

Location and Timing

You can log in to your Student Information System (SIS) account and view all matrial via learning videos, text matrial, and even interactive learning and problem solving. All of this material is available for Skyline students at all times.

You may be required to attend live classes between now and then in order for professors to check on student progress. Some programs may also require virtual or physical lab attendance every few days or weeks.

Study

Your are required to finish between 60-75 credit hours depending on your selected program. This will usually take around 4 sesmesters to complete, although some students acheive it in less time. The courses are mainly theoritical with some laboratory classes in between depending on specialisation. On your last year, you are required to complete a Bachelor's degree thesis project that is assessed by a jury of professors.
